Description/Blazon
An ultramarine blue shield shaped embroidered patch with a semi-circular base edged with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) orange border, 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width and 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height, bearing three 1/8 inch (.32cm) diagonal stripes, green, black and white from upper right to lower left. The beret flash was originally approved for the 160th Special Operations Aviation Group (Airborne) approved on 26 Mar 1987. It was redesignated for the 160th Aviation Group (Special Operations) (Airborne) on 15 Oct 1993.

The background trim was originally approved for the 160th Special Operations Aviation Group (Airborne) on 26 Mar 1987. It was redesignated for the 160th Aviation Group (Special Operations) (Airborne) on 15 May 1993.
